Hidden Treasure

ATLANTA, GA - During a recent visit to the future home of the WellStar Vinings Health Park, Construction Program Manager David McKinney and Vice President of Construction Travis Epperson found a little metal trinket that was half buried in the dirt. At first they thought it was a kid's sheriff badge or some type of toy, but after knocking off the dirt, a love memento was revealed. After a quick Google search, the female name was located. David and Travis contacted her to see if the medallion was hers and offered to drop it in the mail if she wanted it back.Later that day, the lady called Travis and said she had lived in a house years ago which was located on the current job site, but it was torn down at some point. Travis read the inscription to her and she said that the male name on the medallion was her first husband who was killed in the Vietnam War. After thinking about it, she believes that the item came from a local fair or nearby Six Flags since it was newly opened around the time of her living there.  The lady offered many thanks to David and Travis for taking the time to track her down.
